In August 2024 we launched our digital archive on the Archive in a Box Platform, https://www.archiveinabox.com. When you visit the site, click on “Historicals+Museums” then select “China Lake Museum” from the list of museums. We have uploaded tens of thousands of pictures and documents to the site and still have much more content to add!
From the archive you can read most of China Lake’s Rocketeer Newsletter from 1954 to 1998. Want to know what newsworthy stories your relative got up to on base? You can do that from our archive! Once you enter the archive on the left-hand side, enter your search term, then in the main part of the page it will pull up photos or documents with that keyword.
We have over 200 passport and professional portraits, over 2,000 pictures of weapons grouped by weapon type, and over 10,000 pictures of planes!
