The First True Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missile: Polaris!
Special thanks go out to Baldi Bros Inc and the Ridgecrest Police Department for the delivery of the missile to the museum!
The Polaris’ new home is right next to our F11-1F Super Tiger, easily seen when driving by the museum. A closer look is free and will allow you to take in the full size of the missile! Visitors are always welcome during business hours of 10am-4pm!

On July 24th, the China Lake Museum hosted some children from the Oasis pre-preschool program to help jumpstart their education!
On July 25th, the China Lake Museum hosted a freeform art class; allowing students to use the techniques they have learned and apply them however they want!

On July 2nd, the China lake Museum hosted an art class for adults based on Picasso’s abstract art style!

On June 24th, the China Lake Museum hosted an art class inspired by Picasso for the Heartland Charter School Homeschooling program. Students were exposed to Picasso’s techniques before encouraging students to use those techniques in their own way.

On June 16th, with the help of Rosser Trucking and CRuD (Command Reutilization and Disposal), moved another batch of artifacts from the Base location to our current location!

In This class students learned about vital survival skills such as navigation and map-reading. Then they learn how those concepts applied to everyday challenges from Airplane navigation to map reading of the city.

In this class Students learned about the controls and science behind airplanes. Why lift is needed for flight and how Ailerons and the rudder control the airplane’s movements.
Teams take turns controlling the plane in a simulation, attempting to first take off and then land the plane.

With the summer rapidly approaching, the China Lake Museum remains an excellent way to stay cool while remaining active and getting out of the house! Additionally with a discount on Steam kits the fun can come home with you! Steam kits are a great way to keep kids learning and prepared for the next school year!
Beacon Hill Classical Academy chose the China lake Museum as part of a trip based on California History!
We Thank Beacon Hill for their visit and hope they learned much about the fascinating military history of California!
Las Flores chose the China lake Museum to be part of their field trip for May 5th!
