Andy Warhol was a highly influential illustrator in the mid-1900’s. Being hired by notable businesses such as Vogue or Tiffany & Co.
Students will learn about his talents and then create their own works based on his creations.

Jackson Pollock was an abstract expressionist painter active in the early 1900s known for his unique style of using his whole body to throw and drip paint onto a canvas.
Students will learn about Pollock and be let loose to interpret his influence upon their own creations.

For February, Student will be learning about the unique style of Ukiyo-e mastered by Hokusai.
This style uniquely used woodblock carving to create prints from. Intended for mass printing for the middle class this style allowed to vibrant and expressive artworks to rival those of the western sphere.
