Hooray, the Museum received our Phase 2 building plans approval from the county on 7 April. The foundation forms and rough plumbing inspection were approved in May. The final forms inspection was passed on 7 June and the concrete was poured on the 10th.
The next construction will be the erection of the steel building itself sometime after a week of concrete curing. James Bell, the building contractor, is working whenever possible with contractors in the valley or contractors with specialized equipment from out of town around their schedule to minimize costs. It does slow things down sometimes but we are trying to make our donated funds go as far as they can.
So hopefully in July you will see the steel framework going up and it will then be very visible as the walls will be 16’ tall.
We ask all our guests to maintain a safe distance from the construction site for the safety of all. We will look forward to having an open house once it is safe to do so.
